RUBBER BUFFERS

Buffer elements, such as rubber buffers or rubber-metal buffers, absorb kinetic energy of power units or assemblies. End pieces made of steel or stainless steel ensure optimum installation of rubber buffers.

Application areas for rubber buffers

Rubber buffers are used in mechanical engineering, power unit construction, special-purpose machines and transport technology. They are popular construction elements for mounting power units and used as elastic buffers to limit spring travel of moving masses. Ideal for vibration absorption for engines, compressors, pumps and testing equipment, or for use as bump stops buffers for load-bearing systems.

Options and styles of rubber buffers

Kipp rubber buffers are available in different styles and Shore hardnesses. KIPP mostly supplies them in the material combination "metal-rubber buffer" (natural rubber, steel or stainless steel). Different types are provided for specific applications. Rubber buffers, for example, allow for impacts to be absorbed and cushioned (flexible limitation of travel). Tapered rubber elements or door buffers reduce high edge loads on the rubber during radial deflection.

Rubber buffers by KIPP are available in various shapes such as rubber cylinders, rubber cones, threaded rubber buffers as well as various thread sizes, such as M8 or M6 rubber buffers, conical rubber buffers or door buffers.
